All Good Things Must Come To An End

The final lecture of the Rabbi Mintz’s spring lecture series will take place on June 3rd. The theme of the series is "The World of Our Grandfathers: Part II." The topic for Tuesday, June 3rd , is "Aleppo: 1900." All lectures are available as mp3 files at www.rayimahuvim.org.
UPCOMING SPEAKERS
June 7th: Elana Stein Hain, Resident Scholar at the Jewish Center and doctoral student of religion at Columbia University, will deliver the lecture following services. Her topic will be "Genesis: Theology, Narrative or Law".
   
June 14th: The KRA Fourth Anniversary Celebration will follow services. Rabbi Mintz will deliver comments in honor of the anniversary. The lecture will be given by Dr. Beni Gesundheit. An expert in medical ethics, Dr. Gesundheit is a physician in the bone marrow transplant unit at Hadassah Hospital.

Dinner at KRA: 9:20 pm. Everyone is invited to join us for our annual Shavuot dairy dinner. Cost is $25/adults, $20/children under 10. Please email chevra@rayimahuvim.org for reservations.
11:00 pm: All night Tikkun Leil Shavuot begins with a class by Rabbi Mintz on "A Literary Analysis of the Book of Ruth"
12:30 am: Class by Rabbi Polsky .
1:30 am: All night learning will continue with refreshments
4:50 am: early Morning service
   
  Monday June 9, 2008
9:30 am: second Morning service followed by dairy Kiddush/lunch sponsored by Karen Heilig and Ivan Ciment in honor of the KRA community and in honor of Dov, Miriam and Lior Goldman, who are spending their last chag with KRA before moving to Israel this summer.

Morning services: 9:15 am. Yizkor will be recited at approximately 10:45 am.
The annual KRA Shavuot Picnic in Riverside Park will follow services. Each family is asked to contribute a dairy food item for the picnic and to bring beverages and paper goods for their own family. Please email Ellie Grosinger at EKG802@aol.com regarding the food item you plan to bring.
